Chittering Wildlife Carers Inc. is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of Western Australia’s native wildlife.
Based in the Shire of Chittering, approximately 75km north of Perth, our volunteers respond to wildlife in need.
We assess injured wildlife, coordinate transport to appropriate veterinary care and provide ongoing rehabilitation with the ultimate goal of returning each animal safely to its natural environment.
We are guided by the Wildlife Conservation Act 1950 and work closely with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), veterinarians and wildlife professionals.
We strive to give every animal the greatest possible chance of a safe return to the wild.

Chittering Wildlife Carers works alongside local residents, businesses, veterinarians, government agencies and other wildlife organisations to achieve the best outcomes for our native wildlife and their habitat.
Through our Facebook page, community displays, presentations and educational resources, we share practical knowledge and encourage people to become confident and responsible custodians of the wildlife that lives alongside us.
Together, we can protect our wildlife, preserve their natural environment and create a community where both people and wildlife can thrive.
